If you are willing to pay the cost of shipping from Brazil to DC and back, I would be happy to have Kirsten's silver eye taken care of for you. If you'd like to save on customs, you can send her to me right away and we can see if they'll have her ready for pickup at AGPNY when you get there. Let me know.

My Jess has some crazy stitching going on near her arms too. It's like they backstitched and then restitched more than once at the end of the seam. (Is that what you are talking about) I checked and a few of my other dolls look like that too- but they don't wear halters.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes, that's it, the problem is the meet outfit, shows her shoulders, but my Jess is cute, and I was glad because I was afraid maybe she had a problem with her eyes (I've noticed some dolls with a bigger left eye) and her coloring is great, I think, didn't have much time to check her out.

How is Molly doing with her smoke smell? I think that mine is done! I kept putting fresh baking soda in and I think that helped. She is in a plastic bag, which I discovered works much better than the pillowcase I had her tied up in.

Yes, I plan to turn her into Laura (and maybe silver-eyed Kirsten can be Mary) and was planning to use some Addy's outfits!!!!

    Just a thought
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Oh, I don't want to give trouble to anyone... And it's somewhat risky to send the doll here, and expensive, so I think I will keep Kirsten the way she is (the silver eye is just beggining) and maybe will turn her into Mary Ingalls doll (I know Mary's eyes weren't affected by the illness that blinded her but it is an idea)... <font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Same thing here, I always ask if the seller can state the value as 20.00 dollars and some are very understanding. Ugh, and I bet the money on your country is used to build hospitals, give education to children, here we don't see where the money goes, that bothers me so...

Am excited and at the same time a bit frightened to go to NY (I will go crazy, my bank account will disappear, hehehe).

If you are handy, you could do an eye replacement. There are instructions on the Website sticky at the top of our board. I live in Wisconsin, home state of American Girl, and got a greenish Felicity. I never even realized there was a bad batch of greenish dolls. I thought all Felicity's looked like that - sort of olive skin tone. Well, I never did get her replaced even though I live pretty close to AG. We had her too long before I realized that she had a flaw.

How much do you get charged for customs? How does it work? If someone from this board sends you a doll, do you still have to pay? I would recommend having someone from this board who goes to AGP hand pick a doll for you and send it out.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, I will stay only one week, not enough time, I think, to get Kirsten's eyes fixed. I will check the website out, thank you!!! Oh, I think one of my Felicities is green too The other one, with redder hair, is lovely, rosy and with big cheeks but the other, poor thing...

We pay 60% over everything (value + shipping costs) so I had to pay more than 100 dollars for customs

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Thank you for your offer, Mayergirl, but I really don't want to give you any trouble, I will keep Kirsten like that and I already have another Kirsten coming, maybe I will turn the silver-eyed into Mary Ingalls (my Molly will be Laura). Thank you so much, you're so kind to offer to help me !!!!

I think this was only on the TV show (I haven't read the later books in a while), but remember when Mary was blind? The silver eye could be her vacant eyes. . . .

I'm glad that your Molly is doing well, too in the drawer!
